This technique is called throwing paint.  It is about abstract expressionism and colour field. It is the combination of the discipline of one style and the freedom of the other.

Breaking away from the traditional understanding of painting I found this to be an exciting challenge and great fun. I believe it important to enjoy painting at any level and I hope this can inspire others to brace themselves and take the jump into another exciting and stimulating experience.
